Business & Internal Applications

For Enterprise

Challenge

Work needs to get done. Often the situation is that consumer applications take priority over the applications that employees use to do that work. People can spend countless hours trying to accomplish what seems like a simple task - if only technology could help them. Stories of internal tools and the frustration they cause often don’t get told or heard. These tools make the world go around and the challenge is to gather product energy from competing priorities.

^ Highly functional work often looks very simple, if it’s done right ;)

My Methods

. I’ve devoted my career to improving how people work by applying high quality design - process and output - to making each business or employee app I meet exponentially better. By conducting user research, competitive analysis, technical potential with system architects and aligning with business goals, I’ve helped make systems that people love, and use for years. I never knew people would love an intranet, until I redesigned the intranet at Salesforce and heard the feedback. By creating simple, repeatable patterns, these apps do stand the test of time.

so there was no need for a marketing team when a post was made. Especially proud of the time the VP used it to alert the whole company of a security breach and advised what to do. He was not technical in the least.
Design systems make the world go round. I was on the first Lightning Design System team where we launched the first Enterprise level system for employees and consumers to use in business application design. Consistent looks, spacing, UX writing and flows help build trust.
